Admiral Bobby R. Inman, USN (Ret.), is America’s former top spy. He held a range of influential positions within the U.S. Intelligence Community, including leading the CIA and the NSA. After graduating from college at the age of just 19, Inman soared quickly through the ranks of naval intelligence. During his time as the head of the NSA, he was responsible for critical shifts in the agency’s culture and practices, overseeing major technical and administrative improvements that form the basis of the NSA’s operations today.
After retiring with the permanent rank of Admiral, Admiral Inman became a tenured professor of national policy at the University of Texas at Austin. Since 1990, Admiral Inman’s primary business activity has been investing in startup technology. He is a Managing Director of Limestone Capital Advisors and a Trustee of the California Institute of Technology, as well as an elected Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration.
