    Colonel Jennifer P. Sovada is a the Special Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance for the Pentagon. A highly decorated officer with decades of experience, Col. Sovada is the lead for outreach and engagement with think tanks, academia, non-profits, NGOs, start-up companies, and other private sector organizations.

     

    Col. Sovada is a career intelligence officer who has commanded a wing and an intelligence squadron, and served at the squadron, center, major command, joint, and interagency levels. She played key leadership roles in the Joint Task Force to provide support after Hurricane Katrina and the Multi-National Force for the first Iraqi elections in 2005.

     

    Her goal now is to build relationships and increase information sharing between the government and non-traditional partners–a mission that is increasingly critical to technological innovation in the U.S. defense sector.
