Laetitia Garriott de Cayeux is a technology entrepreneur, investor, and political activist, with a lifelong belief in technology’s potential to improve virtually every human endeavor. She is the co-founder of space-dedicated venture firm Global Space Ventures and an early investor in the commercial space sector (including SpaceX).
She is also the co-founder of Escape Dynamics, which was ranked third of the “Top 10 World’s Most Innovative Space Companies” by Fast Company, and whose beamed energy space propulsion technology was added onto NASA’s technology roadmap in 2015 and featured in Scientific American as a “World Changing Idea.”
She started her career in 1999 at Goldman Sachs, where she advised on over $8 billion in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and then served as founding principal at TPG-Axon, which launched with $2.8 billion in 2004. She then founded her own investment firm in 2010, for which she was awarded the Institutional Investor “Rising Star” award.
